The official website no longer had tickets to the Seville Cathedral for the day. Managed to buy through an intermediary in total not overpaying much. I recommend for those who miss buying tickets in time on the official site. The cathedral with the Giralda is worth a visit.

We were able to enter quickly at the appointed hour but there was no fast line. Very nice view from the Geralda Tower. Easy to go up with enough recup places to rest and also have a nice view.

Punctuality of appointments and pick-up! On the other hand, some rather cavalier schedule changes the day before could have caused us to cancel our visit by moving it from 1:00 pm to 11:00 am. All the more so as we learnt that the morning of the tour was partially booked. 11H00: Cathedral+Giralda and 15H00: The Alcazar.

Centuries of history etched in stone

Originally built in the 10th century during Moorish rule, the Alcázar has undergone numerous transformations over the centuries. Each era left its mark, resulting in a remarkable fusion of architectural styles that tells the story of Spain’s complex past.

A palace with present-day purpose

More than just a historic monument, the Alcázar remains an active residence for the Spanish royal family during their stays in Seville, making it Europe’s oldest royal palace still in use.

Gardens that rival the palace itself

Spanning seven hectares, the Alcázar’s gardens are a vibrant oasis filled with reflecting pools, exotic flora, and the occasional peacock. They make up over three-quarters of the complex and are a destination in their own right.

From heritage to Hollywood

The palace’s beauty captivated millions when it appeared as the kingdom of Dorne in Game of Thrones. This pop-culture cameo brought a new wave of visitors eager to experience its cinematic charm.

Part of a prestigious trio

Together with the Seville Cathedral and the Archivo de Indias, the Alcázar forms a UNESCO World Heritage Site—an honor it has held since 1987 for its cultural and historical significance.
