The official website no longer had tickets to the Seville Cathedral for the day. Managed to buy through an intermediary in total not overpaying much. I recommend for those who miss buying tickets in time on the official site. The cathedral with the Giralda is worth a visit.

We were able to enter quickly at the appointed hour but there was no fast line. Very nice view from the Geralda Tower. Easy to go up with enough recup places to rest and also have a nice view.

Punctuality of appointments and pick-up! On the other hand, some rather cavalier schedule changes the day before could have caused us to cancel our visit by moving it from 1:00 pm to 11:00 am. All the more so as we learnt that the morning of the tour was partially booked. 11H00: Cathedral+Giralda and 15H00: The Alcazar.

It's magnificent, splendid. But a lack of organization. You buy the tickets but you don't know which queue to get into. It's stressful. Whereas if there were signposts. Those who already have their ticket, those who don't. The tour at such and such an hour... In short... And I find it really very, very crowded. It's impossible to take nice pictures. But it's still a great experience.

Everything worked perfectly. Except for retrieving the ticket, as the mobile reception was poor and there was no WiFi available

Puerta del Leon

One of the first sights you’ll witness at the Alcázar of Seville is the Puerto del Leon, also known as the Lion’s Gate. Located on top of a tall, red-maroon wall, is a wide ceramic panel featuring a heraldic lion holding a cross. The Puerto del Leon serves as the main entrance into the Alcázar of Seville and leads into the Patio del Leon from where your tour begins.

Salon de Embajadores

The Hall of Ambassadors was used primarily for administrative purposes and receiving King Pedro’s VIP guests. The principal architect behind this magnificent room is Diego Ruiz, a Seville craftsman from the late 1930s. The perfectly geometric pattern on the gilded ceiling is the highlight of this room, along with the intricately-detailed motifs and balconies that represent classic Moorish influence.

Alcázar of Seville Gardens

If you’re looking for the perfect example of a pristine landscape, the Alcázar of Seville Gardens will grab your attention from the moment you set your eyes on them. These gardens are home to more than 20,000 plants and trees from around the world, including oleander, wisteria, jacaranda and acacia.

Patio de las Doncellas

Also known as the Courtyard of Maidens, legend says that this area drew its name from the fact that the ancient Moors demanded 100 virgins from the Iberian Christians as a form of tribute. The Moors invested heavily into the maintenance of the courtyards; watch out for the immaculately-kept gardens, mudejar-style architecture and symmetrical pool.

Palacio Mudejar

Don Pedro commonly known as King Peter 1, a Christian ruler, employed Muslim architects and interior designs to build the Palacio Mudejar (Palace of Peter 1). One of the most beautiful sections of the Alcázar of Seville, this palace is the ideal representation of Mudejar art and heavy Moorish influence. Tip: Keep an eye out for the patterns across the walls and ceilings.

Royal Apartments

The Royal Apartments consist of 11 rooms, these apartments currently serve as the private chambers of the royal family. They can be accessed through an upgraded ticket. Here you can get a rare glimpse of the architecture and tapestries that have been influenced by decades of Moorish rule.
